Its been a while since I last posted. I was babysitting a lot towards the end of the summer. School started back. I've been engulfed in crafting and school and blah blah blah. Excuses. Excuses. Excuses.
Recently, my mind has been preoccupied by a recent sad even that took place. A teenager that I used to work with for Park and Recreation passed away in a particularly tragic manner. I worked with her at a camp, at a game night program, and at a bowling program. She had her particularly sassy moments, but she really liked me (I think!). She was really a funny girl, and it makes me so sad to hear about what happened to her. I know it seems like it has been a while to everyone else, but I feel like I am still dealing with the passing of another teenager I used to spend a lot of time with. This happened back in November, but it seems like it just keeps coming around. The two teenagers that passed away were kids I had at one time in my life, seemed to spend a lot of time with. Having not been able to think of anything else that I could possibly say to these grieving families, I made them cards. Each got a card filled with as many pictures as I could find on my computer of wonderful times we had with each other. It was my way of grieving and my way of showing that these special families were in my thoughts and prayers. I'm not all preachy preachy with my praying and churchy stuff, but its inside me for sure. These things have just been weighing heavily on my heart. I cannot begin to understand how hard this must be for them, but I know that I am deeply saddened to hear about their deaths. I will actually be able to attend this particular funeral, which I think will be extremely helpful in dealing with all this.
I am not entirely sure if this is related (I think it is), but I am just having a hard time with dealing with stressers this week (i.e. children who like to abuse me all day, people who can't stop asking me questions, headaches).
I also am trying to get back into my Etsy site. Trying to spend this sad/emotional/stressful/blah energy on making things. Making things to make myself feel better. That's a good philosophy huh? I should just keep going with that.
I've pinned lots of things to pinterest that I want to start making. Has anyone seen those zipper bracelets? I really want to try them. I've been eyeing a set of colorful zippers on amazon that I really want to get to try this out. In fact, they are sitting in my digital cart, just waiting, WAITING, for me to buy them. To buy or not to buy....... that is truly the question.
And with that, I shall call this bloggeroo done. I'll try to be a little more up-beat in the next one. And share more pictures. Adios muchachos.
